Well, Unlined Charcoal is officially going to stop being developed. Back in the day when it took a computer scientist to create these themes, it was one of a kind. But with easy access to the right tools, almost anyone can create a theme of their choice (and has). College is... too time consuming for me. I just don't have the time to spend on themes like i did in High School. I'm glad I could help some of you. A good place to start for themes is at

There are more themes there than I could have ever imagined when X first came out. I lead the way, but now it's time for the next generation of artists to make their mark.

How to install Unlined Charcoal from .pkg:
  1. Download unlined.dmg.tgz
  2. Mount the disk image
  3. Double click the Unlined Charcoal.pkg
  4. Log out, then log back in
How to return to Aqua:
  1. Download unlined.dmg.tgz
  2. Mount the disk image
  3. Double click the Aqua.pkg
  4. Log out, then log back in

Install with MetaMorphX:
  1. Visit MetaMorphX's home page and download the latest version
  2. Download unlinedmmx.dmg.tgz
  3. Launch MetaMorphX
  4. Click "Add," add UnlinedCharcoal.theme, then hit "Rescan"
  5. Unlock, select Unlined Charcoal X.1, click "Switch"
  6. Log out, then log back in

      Unlined Charcaol is send-what-you-want-ware. The reason the 10.1 update took so long to reach the public, is I'm now immersed in college life. I go to a wonderful small college called Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (www.rose-hulman.edu). It consumes all of my time and money.       Feel that i'm forgetting our old friends Unlined Ruby and Unlined Grape? Fear not. Pending time, homework, etc, i will too be porting these to X.1. For those of you who never got to see screen shots of them i left some up on this page. MetaMorphX versions should be coming out soon. I just wanted to get this out to the public.
