Open a blank canvas 300 x 300
Go to path drawing tool, elipse. Let's start by making the base.3d border 23 depth 10.Make it approx 140 wide by 46 high. If you watch at the bottom of your screen on the left side,as you draw your shapes you will see the size you are getting. Select the color for your teapot now. Now for the pot portion..again select the elipse and make it 129w x 115h. 3d border 58 depth 10. Now let's make the lid..elipse again
Go back to path drawing tool
Remember..save as you go!

|
Now let's make the handle...go to the outline drawing tool. Shape elipse, width 5 border 5 depth 30 |
|

Let's make the spout
Go to path drawing tool, custom shape choose brush tip 1 Border 18 depth 5 Go to edit..rotate and flip...vertically
|
|
Now go to edit path tool. Click on your spout to make it active.
We need to change the shape on the tip of it.
Click on the toggle button and on the plus button...your image will
now look like an outline with red squares..we need to add another point
on our shape.
Take the two points that are at the bottom on the left and right and drag them down and out equally. Put the spout in place and use the transform tool to get it at the angle you like on your teapot. Your shape should now look like the image shown.
|
|
We have our teapot all done..If you haven't saved your shapes yet do so now. Then you can have lots of fun changing colors and textures on it. Now let's jazz this teapot up. Click on your pot making it active..go to edit and fill..choose a color
or a image.. I have used this one for mine.
I did the pot, lid and spout with this fill.

Now go up to effect..paint on edges.
You will now see yours edges of your lid have a nice darker color to them giving your lid a nicer look. I also took my paintbrush, same settings and color as painted edges and select the mode button then painted a little on the tip of the spout. I used a pink gradient on the base, handle and circle on the top. If you have the sinedot filter adding it can also make a lovely effect for you.
