Tena's Christmas Ornaments

Created using Photo Impact 6.

for this tutorial you will need Eye Candy 3.1

Open a blank canvas 300 x 300
Go to path drawing tool..circle..3D
Fill with color or pattern or your choice. For this one I chose a gold color...went to my easy palette ..gallery..material gallery..metallic..chose copper 6...the to the shading gallery and chose gold 4. Your ball should resemble this.

Now go to effect...Eye Candy 3.1..swirl
Settiings should be..whirlpool 100...smear  15...twist 38...streak 50
click the checkmark to apply.

Now your ball should look like this.

Go back to effect..eye candy..water drops.
Apply these settings...no. of drops 1..edge darkness 0.. opacity 30..refraction 42...random sed 0...color white....brightness 24...highlights 24...direction 59...inclination 74
Your image should look like the one on
the left side.

Now to add some decoration..Go to path drawing tool..custom shape..find flower 8.

Place your shape over the top of your ornament..having a little more than half of it laying on the top..

Then while this piece is active go to the eraser tool..and erase the parts that are sticking out over your ornament.

Let's add a topper on it.
Select drawing tool..rounded rectangle.
Go to easy palette..gallery..material..metallic
Fill with copper 6 again
go to bump...disco

Go to the outline drawing tool..elipse..border 2..make a ring..use copper 6 again..

right click you ring..arrange..send to back.

Thats it...

Eye Candy is a lot of fun..try making a ball and go to eye candy..swirl..choose the helva one..really neat!

Another neat way to create an ornament is draw your circle..pick a color you like..click on the material button..go to transparency..set it at 90%..go to light ..set 1 spot

open an image you like..cut out the portion you want using the lasso...convert to object..copy and paste...right click arrange ..send to back...add some ornamental pieces to it..and you have this.

Now that you have all of your ornaments made you'll need a tree to put them on....Debbie has a lovely tutorial for making a perfect Christmas tree..check it out!
